When I wake up, I smell the aroma of freshly cooked bacon and pancakes The sound of the bacon sizzling on the pan The sound of my family saying “good morning” I feel loved My family gives me care and safety To live, play, love We give each other love I feel brave enough to do more things I feel the courage to try new foods, read a new book I feel comforted As we sit together for a family dinner we talk, we talk about what's happening in our lives We laugh and our laughter rings around the house we are happy together I feel happy Hearts are attached, attached to our home The family photos hung around the house The silly memories that we laugh at together We are a family together I feel safe When I snuggle up to the fire, I am happy When I read by the fire, I feel cozy The time we spend with family is precious I feel warmed I feel like a part of the community Home does not come from money neither does happiness The important things come from the heart, family and home We work hard to get families to a safe place So you can enjoy the comfort of your own space.
