What is a Home?

HOME IS... Like the rising sun that shines onto your face, the first to greet you in the morning, filling you with joy and bright hopes for the day. Home is Like a school, a place where you learned your first letters, wrote your first words, and shared your first story. Home is like a file, where you store all your precious memories, safely tucked away, and treasured all lifelong. Home is like a friend, someone who supports you, who celebrates with you in the highs and encourages you in the lows. Someone special meant just for you. HOME IS... Where different cultures come together, sharing their food, language, and stories of the places they call home, with the new generations. Home is like an evening meal, something you come home to everyday after a long day in the cold. The delicious smell of a hot homemade stew, the spicy tang of a taco or a bowl of white fried rice ready to enjoy. Home is family, the people you know best and the ones you love the most. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you do, without a family, a house is just an empty space. HOME IS... Like a blanket, comforting you through the night Keeping you warm and safe from the deep darkness surrounding you. And like the largest full moon, illuminating the sky along with all the twinkling stars. Home is your own little happy place, something that belongs only to you... but can be shared with everyone else. It doesn’t matter where you come from. Home is a place where everyone is welcome.
