A Special Place

What does ‘Home’ mean to you? Maybe it’s the scent of blooming flowers in the distance, or the delightful cheer of your neighbours. Although one thing of what makes home, well, home is clear; It gives you a sense of freedom and safety. As you step in, the luscious wind breezes against you, opening up the door to your special palace. You breathe in the Gentle air, as the faint bark of your dog welcomes you. The fuzzy carpet brushes against you, like the snow on a cold winter day; uplifting. As you venture further into the house the most adorable dog in the world licks you, as if it’s asking for a pat on the head. After that you rush to the couch, finally at rest. You snuggle up with your cat and sink into the couch, never wanting to leave. Suddenly you wake up, you must have drifted off to sleep! You brush it off as just being a few minutes but the clock tells a different story. Soon enough you get up and drool over to the kitchen. The utilities dance across the soothing table, begging you to use them. After you reward yourself with a nice little snack as you enter the backyard, a place where imagination meets reality. You glance over at the treehouse as your mind starts filling up with warm and fuzzy memories; like the time when you lost your first tooth there. Eventually an overwhelming feeling of exhaustion flowed through me. I leaped into my fuzzy, warm bed, drifting off into the night.
