Meaning of Home
The word home can have a very powerful meaning. This can vary from what people consider a cozy, supportive and caring community or a place which contains happy and sad memories or the memories of family members who’ve lived in the past and thoughts of those who will live on in the future. A place where people can feel both comfort and discomfort. A place where people can feel happiness or sadness, a place where people should feel welcomed. A place that people share feelings. In my opinion, home is a comforting place where I can feel happy, sad, comforted, and talk to people when I feel like my life is in shambles. In my home, people I trust live here, people I love live here, people I feel comfortable around live here, and a beautiful little dog that always understands my feelings more than anyone else who lives here. Home should be a place where you can feel grateful and happy. Home should be where you can say “I am so happy to be here, with a roof over my head, and food in the fridge”. Home should be where you can talk to a parent, guardian, grandparent, an aunt, or your uncle when you feel unwelcome in a place. Home is a place where you can relax or help around the location, home is a place where you and I both belong in. For me, home is welcoming, encouraging, and fulfilling place. Home is my safe place to land.
