They Tell Me
My parents tell me when I don't finish eating all my food some people don't have any, My teacher tells me that some people don't have a roof or walls, My friends tell me that some people are freezing cold in this weather,
I will remember these things no matter what. Side by side they will get through the ups and downs. A home isn't just a cement and wood structure. Its your family. Home can be in your community or maybe it isn’t. What if home is the world.
They tell me home is a place where you can go and your pets greet you and you lay on the coach with plenty of snacks to finish and a LARGE backyard to play in with trampolines . Is that home ?
They Tell me home is simple, but it isn't.
Home can be a house apartment even the streets. Where ever you feel comfortable is home. But it's not impossible to say all the words that home means, there is a thousand million ways to say home.
I tell myself home is a distraction from reality. Home is a medley of music that will forever play wherever you are. You can let your mind fly free. It doesn't matter if you are my age and you still play with dolls or with stuffed animals you don’t have to hide it in at home. You can cry there, and you can show your emotions at home.
No one can judge you at home. When you hug someone its like nothing is on your shoulders any more. You can show affection in the safety of your home.
They tell me home is not important but it is
They say home tastes like a cinnamon bun but what if it's Broccoli? Broccoli is different but just as important,
My sister tells me we are lucky to have a safe house
My Brother Tells me he's happy at home
My cousins tell me that they have so much toys in their home
They tell me home is a place to keep your hopes and dreams safe forever.
When im older I will open that box of hope's love and dreams and hug it Tight till i will not till i don't Exist on this world anymore.
