If Home Were the Five Senses

If home were a taste, it would be the clam chowder prepared with love by my mother. If home were a taste, it would taste like hot chocolate on bitterly cold winter nights. If home were a sight, it would be snow falling in the gleaming street lights. If home were a sight, it would be the sun peaks sign shimmering. If home were a smell, it would be bacon sizzling on the pan as soon as I wake up.if home were a smell, it would be tea being brewed. If home were a sound, it would be my dog's collar jingling as she greets me at the door, joyful as ever. If home were a sound, it would be my cat peacefully purring on my lap.if home were a sound, it would be popcorn popping in a pan, being prepared for a family movie night. If home were a touch, it would be my ski mask on my face as I get ready to go snowboard. If home were a touch, it would be the cold Canadian air on my face. But home is more than all that. Home is where you can feel safe, protected, and most importantly, loved.
