Home Is

Home is fifteen houses forming a street. Where cars stampede like a herd of wild buffalos never stopping to graze. Where outdoor cats crawl around as if they own the place. You will always find the group of kids playing in the intense heat or subzero cold. Where there are long trails for nature walks and bike rides. Home is your dog chasing cats as you take him for a walk. Home is plucking bright purple flowers from the small fields. Home is building snow forts and snowmen to all get washed away when spring dances in. Home is summer nights catching fireflies and sleeping in tents. Home is adventure. Creating rock bridges in the rushing water of brooks. Home is feeding horses grass without the owners knowing. Home is marshmallows toasted but gooey. Home is cinnamon buns, satisfaction with every mouth watering bite. Home is fruity popsicles you try to lick but you bite anyway. Home is running around with sparklers splashing in your pool; playing games with your family. Home is not a house or building. Home is the fun adventures and memories you make.
