My special place

The meaning of home to me is a safe place, a place to rest my head at night but it’s more than that, it’s also a part of me. Home is a foundation of life, you learn to walk at home, you learn to talk at home. Home is a place to make memories with family, friends and pets. Some of my fondest memories are at home, family gatherings, birthdays, Christmas mornings and cozy home days. Everyone has a different style of home, big homes, small homes, all types. Some people live with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, or in-laws. Some people don’t even have a home which is sad, so that is why I cherish my home with all my heart. Home means so much to me and my family. With Covid and everything, I've realized that I’m really lucky to have a home to live in during quarantine. Everyone is welcome in my home and I always want them to feel that way. My home is not just mine, it’s open to everyone, no matter who it is, they are always welcome into my home. I want them to feel a sense of peace when they walk in the door, I want them to feel welcome and comfortable, love and warmth. I want them to come in whenever they want. When I think of other people that don’t have homes it brings tears to my eyes because everyone deserves a home to love and cherish with their hearts. And I hope that we get to build even more homes to help those people who have lost their homes, or who have never experienced the feeling of having a home. My home is more than just a roof and some walls, it’s family.
