The Little Rabbit Finds Home

A little rabbit was hopping through the forest. She found a fox den on the side of a hill. She looked in and but all she saw was a bed made of wool and a fox in it. It seemed like a lonely place to live. Suddenly the fox looked up saw her! He swished his tail and jumped up and chased her until he got tired and went back to his den. Next the little rabbit hopped to the side of a river and found a duck nest. In it was a mommy duck and her ducklings, they were all snuggled up together. “Aww! What a nice home: full of love.” she thought. Suddenly she remembered that she was lost and she wanted to find her way home. Next she hopped to a frog log. In the frog log there was a bed, and in the bed were six frogs; a mommy frog, a daddy frog, and four baby frogs. It wasn’t her home even though it seemed like a nice one, so she started hopping again. Soon she came to a bear cave. She looked into the cave but all she saw was a bed made of sticks, grass, and leaves. In that way it was a lot like the fox den. But in the bed there was a kind bear. The bear saw her and came out to say hello. They talked for awhile and she told him that she was lost. He helped her to find her way home. When they got to the little rabbit’s home, they found out that her mother had been worried. She hopped up to her mother and told her all about her adventure. Her mother smiled, gave her a hug, and the little rabbit felt finally like she was home.
