Home is Different

Most adults and kids think a house and a home mean the same thing, but they’re very different! House is an object, a roof over your head. Home is feeling of being safe and loved. Home is sometimes an object, like a stuffy you have from when you were a child. Home is also family. Let’s say you moved away from your childhood home. Five years later you visit it and it’s just the way you left it! So it feels like home! A home is where you make memories, laughs and where you have your ups and downs. When you first move, it doesn't feel like home. You need to make it feel like home. It may take awhile but you can do it! At my home, my Dad’s family teaches me about my beautiful culture and all the history behind it. I’m so grateful for them! My Mom teaches me about our creator and about what he can do for everyone! I’m very grateful for my Mom, too! Some people have two homes like me, one at my Mom’s and one at my Dad’s! Two homes are better than one! Home can even be at your friends, grandparents, aunties and uncles’ places. That’s a good home to me.
