Meaning of Home

Everyone needs and deserves a home. A home is a comfortable, loving, safe, and a cozy space where you can live. A home can be small or big as long as you feel safe, it doesn’t matter what size it is. What is the difference between a home and a house? Home is a big or small loving, safe, comfortable, cozy space that you live in. A house is big or small and has a roof, walls, and rooms. Did you know your monthly rent payment does not equal a mortgage payment? Just because you pay $1,000 a month in rent does not mean that you can afford a $1,000 mortgage payment. The true cost of home ownership is often around 40% higher than your mortgage payment alone and this is why we need the platform, Habitat for Humanity to keep going. In lots of families they have to choose between food or rent. Others sometimes go broke and homeless. When the Habitat for Humanity helps people take ownership of homes it brings them and me joy. I am so grateful for the Habitat For Humanity platform because it gives people who need help a hand.
