What is a Home?

People work hard and put up four walls and a roof but a home is more than that, a home is for a family to build new memories, for kids to make new friends, for parents to bond with neighbors, for a family to start. A home is a place to go and relax, and maybe watch a show. Then to head to bed, and dream about how exciting it is to be able to call something a home rather than a house. A home is warm whether you have a fireplace that you can sit by to warm up your hands, or a heater which also keeps a house warm. Come into a home to a warm fire after you are out in a storm or you were out sledding you can come home to heat, safety - a home. A home is comfort. It is comfort knowing in a home people love you and care a lot about you. Home is comfort because you know everyone has your back. When you come home from school and relax. A family makes a house comfort. A home is safe because your family is there and you are safe from a storm or rain or hail and even snow. You are safe in a home, you and your family. You may not think of it much but a home is much more than a house, a home holds memories and is safe. A home is surrounded by humanity, family, neighbors, and people you are soon to meet. In a home you have family, people who care about you. Family can keep you safe. People in a home care a lot about you. A home is more than just a roof and four walls it holds a family, a future and memories.
