The Meaning of Home

When I think of a home I think of something that's mine or that's my own. I don't think about a roof, the walls, or even the whole structure. I think about what makes it your own. One of the things that makes a house a home is that feeling when you walk in. That feeling that this is where you want to be, and this is where you want to live. And I think it's sad that not everyone gets to experience that. Secondly, for me, a house needs to be safe. I should be allowed to wear pajamas in my house without being judged. And last but not least, my house needs to have the things I love the most in it. Like my family, my friends, my pets, and my belongings. So all of these things are irreplaceable and they are mine. This is what home means to me.
