What Does Home Mean To You

Home is my happy place! It is where I can cuddle up and be cozy. Home is the people and animals I live with. It is a place to feel safe. Home is where most of my memories are. Home is where I can be grumpy, sad, mad, funny, excited, and silly, but overall it's the place I feel most loved. Home is where there is always a hug and a kissing hand waiting for me. Home is where I always hear the words, “Be amazing, be kind, be you.” Home is where Buddy is always waiting for me after school with a wagging tail and lots of licks. Home is the smell of my mom's chocolate chip muffins, turkey dinner, and Saturday morning pancakes. Home is the sound of someone always singing, everyone laughing at the dinner table, and sometimes it's the sound of quiet. Home is where my friends are always welcome. Home is where I keep my treasures like my first tooth, my first curl, my seaglass, my stuffies, and pictures of my people. My mom always says, “It's a messy house, but a happy home.” My home is where I can be me.
