My Home, My Sister

Home is serenity in the soul. A feeling of pure love above all. Home is a feeling not a place nor a thing. Home is love and love is a force. A force that is unbreakable. Home is where you go when you need someone. Home is a safety net. Home catches you when you fall. Home is your parachute, your person to lean on. Home keeps you afloat when you're about to flip. Home is a feeling of belonging. Home is not my house. Home is not my school. Home is being next to my sister who catches me when I fall. When I feel down home is where I go. She has all the answers, all I need to know. Home is your key to the locked world. Sometimes you do not need that key just yet. She protects me from the harsh conditions of the outside world until I'm ready. Then my sister hands me that key with open arms, with all of her support. She keeps me under her wing wherever she goes. My sister cradles me like I am her most precious possession. She is all I need. My home is all I need. I do not need a house or a physical place, All I need is to see my sister growing like a baby bird that learns to fly. Growth is all part of the journey of living. My home is her, my first person, my best friend. She is my home and that is how it will always be. Home isn’t a simple definition Home can be anything to anyone.
