Home is Me

Home is where I can be free and myself. Home is the smell of my mom cooking a feast for my family, and my dad helping take care of my family. In this world we all aren’t perfect but that is ok you are beautiful just the way you are! Home should be and place where you can respected for being yourself! Home is the sound of my siblings running wild and having fun. In my home we always have open hearts and open doors to others in need. You are great for being yourself just know you will always be loved, and cared for! Always help those in need and look out for them. We are all humans on this world so respect that and always know, in my heart, I will love everyone for who they are! God didn’t want us to be perfect and that’s ok! We aren’t perfect for a reason. We are all different and we don’t need to be the same! We all have our differences and cultures and we should respect that! No matter black, brown, or white, we are great the way we are! COVID has been hard for all of us but we are in this together and always know you wont be alone. Your heart will always be welcomed in my home! Now and then I'm grateful for who i am: an Indigenous cultured strong little girl. Home is my way of being myself. And everyday I’m grateful for the meals on my table and the roof over my head and my family. Home is my family’s pride and joy home is where I belong. Home is where I roam free. Home is where I can believe. Every time I walk in and out of that door I don’t know what it’s going to bring, sometimes my brothers drive me crazy but, I don’t know what life would be without them we all have our ups and downs but, we will be a united world if we stand here in peace that is what my home means to me.
