Home

What is home? To some people, home is a few walls and a roof. But even people that don't have a house can have a home. About 11 years ago my parents had a daughter, that daughter grew up in a house, just a few walls and a roof. But she also grew up in a home. She learned to talk and walk, eat and drink. That little girl had a home and that home just wasn't a house. That little girl was me! To some people, they think success is money. To others success is simply having a full stomach. When I walk into my house I see objects, but when I walk into my home I see memories. Some think money is a necessity for a good life. Others may be living in the back of their car and still have a home. I have a house but I also have a home. They are the same building but my home is built on thousands of memories. When I learned to make tacos or when I learned how to draw or that one time milk came out of my nose, when I laughed too hard. Sure a house has a few walls and a roof, but home is built on feelings and thoughts, content, affection, panic. I hope that little girl can notice how truly lucky she is in her home. I may not be the richest in the world but I'm lucky and so is that girl.
