This is Home

“Home” – The crackling of flames in the fireplace, The cat that sits and licks its face, Strong walls to keep the splendid in and the unpleasant out, Vast windows for a good look without. But “Home” is so much more, It’s where joy and peace and memories are stored, “Home” is a place to laugh and to cry, Both good and bad are in supply. "Home" is where you grow, From taking your first steps so long ago, To getting your master’s degree Or accidentally having to pay a parking fee. "Home" is not just a word, Nor a building of which everyone has heard, "Home" is a feeling, a knowing, That you are cared for and wanted, it is a place so very loving. “Home” – the hearth that shines bright, The Christmas tree adorned with all its light, The memories we share, Hopes and dreams everywhere. This is “Home,” Not just a building, But a feeling, A place of happiness, hope, and healing. Yes, this is “Home,” And “Home” is where we all belong.
