Home

Any person can have a house. A big mansion or a small apartment. A place in the quiet country or a place in the middle of a busy city. You can have a house if you are very rich with a successful career or not have a lot except a roof over your head. It takes a lot for a house to become a home. A home is a place where you feel safe, protected and happy. It is hearing your family laugh, or ask you about your day when you come in the door. It is sitting together and watching a movie or planning a trip. It is making memories - some that you are lucky enough to catch on film and others that you have to take a second to soak in and remember. A home doesn’t leave when you move or when you switch schools or jobs. A home doesn’t change if you’re having a bad day or make a mistake. A home will always be there even if a house isn’t.
