What is a Home to me?

What is a home? To me, a home is not just a building with four walls and a roof, a place to live, sleep and eat. It’s a place love begins. We love everyone in our family, everyone that comes to our home. Friends, neighbours, classmates… A home is a shield for us, a safe place, a place that you are familiar with. Home is great! The size of a home isn’t dependent on the outside, it’s the inside. It’s not the size of the building, it’s the family that lives there, how many people are in it, how much love is in it. It’s like a balloon, you need to blow air to make it bigger. Same with home, you need to have love to make it bigger and better home. Home is wonderful! My family’s all around the world, so is my home. I have a home here, in Fredericton, NB with my mom and Tiger, my brother. Another home is China, HangZhou, where my dad lives. Another on in China, HangZhou where my grandparents on my dad’s side lives. A fourth home in China, NingBo, where my grandparents on my mom’s side lives. Lastly, a special one, it’s called a “Homeroom” at school, it’s also my home. Home is everywhere! That’s what a home means to me.
