What Home Means To Me

To you, is a home really just a box with 4 walls, a living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, a basement, and a backyard? Is home just a word with one syllable and four letters? To some maybe yes, but for most it has a deeper meaning. A house and a home have 2 very different meanings, a house is just a structure while a home is where you can find love and trust. A home is a place where you feel safe and sound, it is where you make memories and have fun. It is where you can laugh or cry and be who you are, it is a place where you can feel accepted for who you are no matter what. Be grateful that you have a home, a safe and comfortable one. Not everybody has a home that they can call “mine”. I am writing this to let people know that not everybody has a safe and comfortable home, habitat for humanity helps provide homes for people that need it, a safe and accessible home.
