What Home is to me

Home. What does that word mean to you? It can have many definitions, every single one different. It doesn't matter who you are, what you look like, where you're from, you deserve a home. Everyone does. For me, home is a place of love. I know when I come home, I will feel loved. Why, you may ask? Well, that go's on to my second point. To me, home is a place of family. My family makes me feel loved. It doesn't matter what my home looks like, or where it is, I will always know it's home when it's with my family. Home is a safe place. I feel safe at home. I know my home is a safe place where I can be who I want to be without fearing anything. Home is a place I can go back to when I’m upset, happy, angry, or scared. I know my home, and the people in it, will welcome me with open arms. Home is what makes me, me. It’s where I laugh, cry, sleep, eat, and make memories. Home is a very important place to me. It is much more than just some wood and nails. It is the grounding place for who I am. I love my home, and I am so grateful to have one.
