No Place Like Home

When I think of home, I think of a living room with fire in the fireplace, and my family around me, telling stories. Home is part of my soul, because it is with me wherever I am. Home doesn’t need to be a house. It is like a warm coat, wrapped around you when it’s pouring rain. Home has many things in it. Arguments, stories, love… A home is like a special object that reminds you what home means in your heart. My object that reminds me of home is a little bunny girl. My dad bought it for my mom, but after my brother and I got into an argument, my mom gave it to me so I would feel better. Every night, I would hug it close and tell it I wanted to have a good day tomorrow. It would always give me good luck whenever it was near. Now, in the present, I look at it and it reminds me that home is where I belong. No matter where you are, as long as you have something that reminds you of home you can feel warm, like there is a place where there is someone or something that cares for you. My bunny reminds me that home won’t ever abandon you. It will go with you wherever you go. Be grateful for the home you have because there are many people who don't have homes,or objects that make them feel safe. Let’s be grateful for what we all have and know that we are lucky to have a home.
