The Meaning of Home

Home is a place for others and me A place where I shouldn’t ever have to flee I can always take care of what I need Even if someone doesn’t succeed I can always count on my family To help me live very happily I can always stand up for a relative Without being some crazy executive At home I can be helped if i’m scared At home I know that I am always cared But enough talking of me Let’s talk about others I hope you agree When winter comes and everything starts to freeze Many people need protection from the breeze So for those others who don't have a good place to be They can go to a shelter where they won’t need a key Others homes may be made up of different religions We still shouldn’t have to split up into a different division It never matters what language you speak at home We should never let others be alone If we all respect and make friendships with each other People will care for others no matter their religion or colour Even when people have to say goodbye They will know that they are loved until the day they die While some people aren't treated right in their respective homes They should never be treated like garden gnomes While you might have fun as they days go by Others might be sad until they cry To me this is what my home means Although you may have different routines We still have to respect each other like a new pair of jeans
