How my Home Grew to Be

Home to me means so many different things! But my home wasn’t always a home, it grew to become the home it is today! When we moved into our house it was just a house, it had no memories. It didn’t feel safe! But one year later it became my home!! The word home also means it’s safe, loving, stable both so I know I won’t move and structurally stable, also you know your loved, safe, protected, free and more! To me home also means that it’s ok to make mistakes and you won’t feel judged and made fun of. My home now once looked so dull and empty. Nothing to do nothing to see just dull and empty. 58 acres of dry dusty open land, and then the process began! Not only with building the house but with the memories we shared as well as the family and laughs too! Flooring piece by flooring piece, light by light, wall by wall, room by room… my house became a home! Home is also where I’m being raised, as well as my sister! It is where my mom and dad have taught me to be kind, my family history, and to be honest! My home isn’t too big, but it isn’t too small either! It’s just right for laughs and memories! That’s what the word home means to me.
