The Meaning of Home

Home is a place that I love. Its peaceful and comfortable. It’s where you sleep in a warm bed. It’s where you play. You can play games with your family. It’s where you eat delicious food that your family cooks. Home may be where you were born. You have a connection to that place, like you’re rooted there. Home is where you spend time with your family, with your friends and alone with someone special like your parents, some people in your family, and your best friends. My home is my foundation: without it, I'd be lost. I would survive without a house, but it would be hard. If I didn’t have a roof over my head, I’d be soaked to the bone and if there was a storm, I might not survive. We called our house PowerHouse because we live on Powerhouse Road. I have a connection to that house. I loved that house even if I didn’t notice. We had a climbing fort; we had a giant yard and we had so many forts. Our new house has a creek in the backyard. There are salmon in our backyard and we get to see them every fall. Woohoo!
