My Home

Home can mean so many different things to each person. To me, my home does not resemble the 4 walls you have lived your whole entire life. My home does not resemble a building. Your house does not create the story, you and your family create the story. When I walk through those doors I feel comfort, safety and most of all love in my home. I am waiting for the time of day I can walk through those doors and get a big hug from my parents. Home is where I can be myself, not someone I am not. The best part of being home is that you can forget the awful things that happened to you before you came home. I feel happy when I am with my family in the car having a dance party. The sweet smell of cookies being baked and people talking and laughing on family game night or even just watching movies with my family. The best part about being a family is that it doesn't matter what you do because you always have fun anyway. The best part about having a family is that you make memories and traditions. My family and I celebrate American thanksgiving. During Christmas time we make sugar cookies. During Halloween me and my family watch Hocus pocus every halloween. My family went to Disneyland for my grandma’s 60th birthday. At Disneyland, we saw Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and we went on rides that blew our hair back. Throughout the years traditions change and families grow. This is what home means to me.
