This Is Home

Many people assume that a home is simply a building that you live in. However, what a home actually is to me, is a place to enjoy life, a place to thrive in and most of all, it’s a place to be loved. Home is Where the Heart is, said Gaius Plinius Secundus, and I agree. I also agree with the fact that home is a feeling rather then a place. It feels right, being at my home with my parents and sister, and I imagine many other people feel the same as well! My house may look normal, but my home is a whole lot more special then meets the eye! Walking inside to me is like walking into a world that only my family and I can enjoy. It's lovely. What makes my abode the home that it is, are the people, my family. It’s the people in the home who forgive your mistakes, it’s the people in the home who grow and learn with you. So it only makes sense, that it’s your family who makes home, home. Home doesn’t have a location, home, is where you and your family are together. When I’m at home with my family, that’s when I truly, feel at home. I feel welcomed when I’m at home. Maybe it’s because I feel a essence of belonging, when I’m at home, or maybe it’s because I know that everybody loves me. I believe that everybody should own a residence, not just those who can afford one. I know that I’m so very lucky to have such a lovely element, and such a wonderful family, but I also know that some aren’t as privileged as I am, and even though they don’t have domiciles, they do deserve them.
