What is Home?

Have you ever wondered what the difference between a home and a house was? Well, a house is a physical structure, while a home is a mental place, a place for you. Although home is indeed a place you and others may reside, there is more to it than that. Homes are made of the people you share it with, whether it be family or friends. Home contains the memories you’ve made in them and the joy of being there. Homes are commonly houses, people use them for shelter because home is someplace you feel safe, it’s a place where you feel calm. A home can vary in many different shapes and sizes. You can do many things at home, you could do things like draw, play, eat, rest, and many more. Your family might live with you at home, or you might live at home with your family but the true home is family. Home is something that you love, home can comfort you, protect you; you can always go back to your home when you need it. That is why family is home. A home is something that you should cherish, something that everyone should cherish, as we are lucky to have a home. No matter what people say or think about it, no matter what it is or what it looks like, if you love it, feel safe in it, and think it’s home, it is home.
