What The Meaning of a Home Means to Me

The meaning of a home means different things for different people. Home means a place where you can feel comfortable to be yourself, feel cared for, and not feel like you are going to be judged. A home is a place where you make memories. I remember when my family and I were renovating our house and we started with the kitchen, and we were knocking down a wall and my mom lifted me and gave me a small hammer then when I tried to put a hole in the wall, I did not even make a dent! A sad memory is when I found out my mom had lost the baby, but we all helped each other through it. For me, a home is wherever my family is. They are the people who love you unconditionally, the arms you cry into, the people you hug, and the people you never get tired of. Pets also make you feel at home. I have a cat, and I got her when I moved to a new area I was unfamiliar with, everything was new to me, but she helped me feel comfortable at home and I got her when I moved to my house which was new at first, but she helped me feel at home and feel comfortable. The feelings that let you know you are at home and make you feel at home are positive. For example, you feel safe if you are not at home or move away and it's your first night and you are unfamiliar and you feel scared, and not safe. But when you feel at home you feel safe and familiar.
