What Home Means to Me

Home is where I feel safe. Where my pets are, where I can sleep and play. Where I have meals. Where I can lie down and rest. My family is always there. I think everyone should have a home to live in and to feel safe. We should be grateful for whatever house we have, however big or small, however thin, or thick. We should not compare our homes; they are all unique. They change through the seasons. In Winter, my house is warm and cozy and Santa comes through the chimney. I like to make forts out of the snow in front of my house and I like to play chess with my father. In Summer, my house is happy and joyful and I play sports with my family such as soccer and we make a lot of applesauce from the apples we pick. When it is Spring you open the windows and hear the birds chirping pleasantly. In Autumn, all the leaves fall off the trees and I can hear the geese. There are so many things I can do in my house. I can play the drums and read a book. I make sculptures with clay. I colour, and I listen to audio books. When I am at home, I feel safe and loved.
