Poem for Home

I think that everyone, including me, can all agree… that everyone deserves a home. You can have a home made out of foam, as long as you have all the things that make you’re Home good, You really forget that your house is just made out of wood. The doors, the roof, the floors, all make a house a house, But they do not make a home a home. What makes a home a home, is what’s inside. Love. Love is all around a home, you see. For sure, I think that we can all agree. But that’s not all… A home has more than all that stuff, What makes a home could be your mom’s delicious cream puffs. If you just have a structure made out of bricks, sticks, and infected by ticks, That would be a house. But if you can ignore the ticks, bricks and stick, and find room for Care, love, joy, happiness and fun, that would be a home, It’s hard to have a home without a loved one… Some people don’t have homes, they’re out on the streets, they don’t have a loved one, and they don’t have any Care, love, joy, happiness and fun. That’s why I’m making this poem, It’s my poem for home.
