What Home Means to Me

The Meaning of Home One of my favorite things about home is food. I like to have Christmas dinners with my family and a tradition I have is to eat a big turkey leg. My mom makes delicious cookies that feel like home. Home is my parents trying recipes to make me and my sister eat broccoli. It is me gagging and my sister vomiting as a result. Home is where your family or loved ones are. It is a safe place where you can be alone or with your family. It’s a place where you can sleep and be warm. A home is a shelter with food and water. Your home should be a place where you feel calm and comfortable. Home is a place where you are happy and loved. There are many different types of homes. Some homes move around like motorhomes or houseboats. Most homes don’t move around like houses or skyscrapers. Some people don’t have a permanent home and move around. A home can be in many different places. They can be in a town, a city, the country or even on the ocean. But the thing that all these homes have in common is home is where you feel safe.
