If My Home Were Empty

If I came home one day and my family, pets, belongings, furniture, my bed, and the photos on the wall were gone I wouldn’t see it as my home anymore. It would be a building. It would not feel like a home. When I am home, I feel happy, safe, loved and most importantly at home. If everything was gone all I would feel was the carpet. Of course, it would still provide shelter, a place to go and a place to sleep but it wouldn’t feel like home.
