My Home

Home is where I love to be, Because I can be with my family. Some people have buildings and houses of their own, But I’m lucky to have a place to call my very own home. Home is where I feel my best, Where I don’t need to be so nicely dressed. When I’m home I can be my complete self, I don’t need to act like anyone else. At night time my home is quiet as a mouse Except for when my dog’s noisy barks shake the whole entire house When the storm is as loud as an elephant swarm, It’s ok because I know my home will keep me warm. Yes on the outside, it’s just a small little house, But it’s truly what’s on the inside that really counts I know my house well I know all the facts, I know each and every stair that makes little cracks I know all the names of all my stuffed bears, I know everyone has their own dinner chairs. I know that my brother doesn’t care what he wears, I know that my couch is full of little furry dog hairs, I know my home and it’s little nooks and crannies, I know there’s no other family like mine in these valleys. Home is where I love to be, Home is where I became me.
