What home means to me

What Home Means To Me When I’m home, I see a safe place where I love to be, I see a dog and a family that loves me, I see food in the cupboards waiting to be eaten and couches in the living room that everyone likes to sit on. In my home, I smell essential oils making my home smell clean and fresh, I smell wet dog after a nice big walk at a windy beach, I smell a yummy dinner in the oven, and a smell of dry dog that still stinks!! When I'm home, I hear my dog bark at cats or other animals on the street, I hear my friends talk on the phone being happy, I hear music on my wireless headphones blasting my favorite songs, I hear my brother being annoying in the playroom, and the kettle boiling for my favorite snack (itchy ban!). A home can be anywhere in the world. It could be in a thick green forest with animals everywhere, it could be in the streets where cars are as loud as my dogs’ bark. It could be a building that keeps you warm on cold days. A home is a place where you belong most, a home is a place where you know you’ll always be safe with your family. My home may not be the best, but I love it! Thank you for reading what my home means to me! ~Cara Boggan Grade5 ?
