What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where you can put your fake smiles away, where the tears are allowed to fall, where the silent voices are heard, where the broken hearts stay. A home is where you are safe, a place where you can rest, a place with doors that never close. A home should always be a place where one is allowed to be at peace, where one can cry themselves to sleep, where one is free, within the boundaries of the walls. Home is where memories lay, good or bad it all matters. A place where you can point to the marks and scars on the walls and tell the story behind them. A home never leaves, it stays in your heart, the place where you laughed, cried, yelled, and screamed. It’s not the home that matters the most, it's the memories that you made there. For home is where the journey of life starts. Time is a great thief, so cherish the time that you have, because we only have now, everything eles is either your memory or your imagination. Everyone always seems to think that their life is hard, everyone pitys themself some point in life, everyone wants what they don’t have… but no matter what you have experienced just remember: Your future needs you… your past doesn’t. So look forward even if you are in pain, even if you're drowning in your own emotions, look forward even if all you feel is despair, look forward, because you aren’t alone in this world. No matter how alone you feel.
