What Home Means To Me

Home is a very special place. It means so many things to so many people. This is what Home means to me. H-Home, Not House. Too me, a House is just somewhere you live. Somewhere you sleep. Somewhere you do daily routines. A building. A Home is what's inside that building. Your family. Your friends. People who will love you no matter what. O-Odd. I mean this in a good way. A Home is a place where you can be as Odd as you want because in your Home, there is no judging. You can be your true self and will be supported and loved for it. M-Marks. In your Home, there are always marks. They might be visible marks, like a scratch or a dent. But the marks that I love best are the ones you cant even see. Like the spot where you laughed so hard milk came out your nose. Marks hold memories safe. E-Evolve. Your Home is a place where you grow up, learn, find your identity. You evolve with the people around you. You push each other to be better people, and help them through shallow times. Home is Safe. Its just a feeling that comes with the Home. And that feeling, let me tell you, is truly amazing. When you snuggle up deep into your bed or when you sit at the table with the warmth of dinner and all those smiling faces, you know that your in the safest place ever. Your Home is the place where you are free. Home, to me, is like a safe. Four walls holding in all that love. All those marks and Oddness. Home is the place that you become you. “Home is where the heart is.” -Pliny The Elder
