A House is not a Home

Your home is not where your house is. Your house is where you live. It is an object, a thing. Home may be a place, but more than that, it is the feeling of love. Your home is where you belong, where your family is, and where you feel happy. Your home may be somewhere in the middle of nowhere, like where you used to go on family camping trips. Maybe your best memories are there. Home might be where you remember singing songs with your family, or making cookies with your mother. Home is where your best memories were made. Your home might not be fancy, nor clean. You may admire other people’s large, grand, rich houses. They may have a bigger house, and more money, but they might not have a home like you do. A loving family. Kind friends. A feeling of belonging. You will always know where your home is, and everyone has a home. Home is where your heart knows it should be. Home is where everyone leaves, but always comes back to.
