What A Home Is

A home is nothing like a house. A house has a lot of stuff in it like beds, freezers and fridges. A home is where your family lives and probably where you grew up. Where you have peace and where you have love. Where you have made a lot of good memories and where you took your first steps. A home is where the only things you really need are...love and family. Whether you live in a house, an apartment, a big building, a small cottage, a trailer or a tent. Everyone deserves a home and a place to call their own. People shouldn't have to jump around from home to home when they could just have one great home! A home is where you can jump and play. A home is where you will stay. I grew up in a home and I hope everyone does too. A home might be close to your school. A home is where you can bring your friend over to play. A home is where love spreads around. A home is where you can learn how to cook and bake. A home might change from year to year but you will always have memories here. A home is good, a home is great, it’s where you will always feel safe. From a home to a house it’s not the same. A home has love unlike a house’s wooden frame. A home is a home and everyone deserves their own! When I found out my teacher signed my class up to write for habitats for humanity. I was really happy to be competing for the grand prize or the runner up prize to help people build their home! I think everyone deserves a home! I hope you agree with me!
