What Is A Home?

A house is not a home. And a home is not a house. A house is where you live. A home is where you love. A house is a building in which you eat and sleep. A home is a place or space where you are with the people you love. A home is a place where you celebrate the good and lift each other up in bad. A home is a place where you can express yourself and not feel judged. A home is where you feel comfortable. It is not the house itself but the heart inside it. It is all the love, dreams, and feelings that make up a home. So although your first thought of a home may be an apartment or house, think again A home is a safe and secure place full of unconditional love. My home is a place where I love every day. Where we are all close and we all bring each other joy and happiness. A home is a place that no matter the size, you are surrounded by love. To me home is a special place one cannot build with wood and brick, but a place you build with love, and affection. Family is a gift and a home is a blessing. These are the things that matter most. Something that everyone deserves. A home and people to adore. That is what this poem is for. To bring people together as a community to help others in need. To, brick by brick, build a place of passion. To make sure everyone has a home as grand and loving as yours and mine. I will always treasure home, and that is what home means to me.
