My Home

My Home My home is a place with a special meaning It’s there when I come home from school or when I come home from basketball having lost In my home I am safe and loved Home is a place to be yourself no matter how you feel or who you are It will be there for you day one to today and it will be there everyday It holds your memories, your traditions, your birthdays and your family You will always remember creaky stairs and water dripping from the roof after a long storm Your family holds you and you hold them Home is not a house or a place it is your love and your warmth ~the reason I did this poem is for the people who are homeless because everyone deserves a home like me
