The Meaning of Home

Home is love. Home is family. Home is a hamburger. Home is love. I feel loved in my home. When I come home from school and go see my excited dog, Thunder, he will lick me on my face. He wags his tail. My dad told me that when dogs are happy their tail wags fast. It makes me feel like he loves me. I know that my family loves me because when I’m hurt, they tell me to take a break not to get hurt even more. When I ask my brother or parents to play, they make time for me. Home is family. When I walk my Black Lab, Thunder, with my mom, dad and my brother, I feel happy. I just love walking my dog. Home is where I play video games with my brothers. I am filled with joy playing with them in my big, comfortable living room. I get excited when I play Skip Bo with my mom, dad and my brother in my dining room. My mom holds all of her gold leaf rimmed china and wine glasses in our tall china cabinet. My grandma collects china, too. It makes my home feel more cozy and fancy. Home is a hamburger. My parents are the buns, I am the cheese (because I like the cheese more than the meat), my brother Aidan is the lettuce and my older brother Dylan is the meat. Ketchup is the love and mustard is the fun and relish is the time spent together. Home is loving, home is Ohana (family), home is a burger.
