5 Senses of My Home

A home is a million little things that make one big impact in a person’s life. The 5 senses are the best way for me to describe these million little things. Now, let me take you through the five senses of a home and what they mean to me. Let me start with sight. I see memories being made, the people I love and a solid foundation. Smell and taste go together with tradition and celebration around the family dinner table or in the kitchen. I smell baking and cooking and I taste my favourite foods. In my home I hear laughter and joy through people talking, playing games and enjoying each other’s company. I hear music and I hear lessons being learned. Last, but not least, is touch. I feel hugs, kisses and tickles, which make me happy. I feel warm and safe in my home. My 5 senses let me know how important my home is to me.
