My Home

My house is old and in need of repair, As a family we fix it with care. Off we go to Habitat for Humanity, Where we will find fair prices and my dad won’t lose his sanity! Covid-19 has meant a lot of isolation, But working on house projects with my Dad has helped me not focus on what is going on in the nation. Instead, in my house I feel relaxed, warm and happy, Sometimes we do get a little bit snappy! My family is made up of eight people, and is multi-generational, And before Covid, we had an open door for friends that was rotational. Nowadays my house is full of laughter and joking, Lots of yummy food, games and computer coding. In my home I feel protected and comfortable with myself, And talking about renovations…. Dad says next week we’re going to build my sister a shelf! I guess what I’m saying is that my house is not just where I stay, It’s the place I’m happy, loved and safe every single day.
