The Meaning of Home

In my opinion, the meaning of home is more than a house at all! In my opinion, home isn’t a screen, or a place, or a really cool transformer toy. Your only REAL home is the people that you are with. I do understand that shelter is very important, but- as long as you have someone that cares for you, and you care for them, you will never, ever be truly homeless no matter what. Without my family or friends, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Neither would you. Home can be anything. It comes in all shapes and sizes. No matter how big or small that home is, it is the biggest thing that anyone could ever have. The most perfect home that I can ever describe, could only be my own. In the kitchen, with my cute little dog, playing with a very wet toy from his doggy slobber. My whole family surrounding me. Having a nice dinner of spaghetti(even if my brother won’t have the sauce), I would fold the napkins nicely and individually, with my little container of apple juice waiting for me at the table. Everyone laughing at me because I love apple juice so much. My father, not wasting a moment to mock me for it. Then, later on in the evening watching a family movie eating my precious popcorn. Then, when I have to go to bed because it’s almost 11 pm and I should be asleep. Now, trust me, I know a lot of family’s are very different from mine, and don’t think that’s a bad thing. Honestly, it’s better to have something that’s unique. Don’t ever try to be someone you are not. Each and every family is different and that’s what everyone likes about family. They are different, fantastic -and no matter how bad things are going with you or your family, family will always be home. The biggest home you could ever wish for is the people you are with. The people that love you and you love them, too. That is home. There is no changing my mind because I just made it a fact. No matter how big or small your roof is, your family is the biggest home in the whole wide world.
