A Home is Much More Than a House

I believe that no matter where you live a home is much more than a house. No matter if you live in a house, an apartment or wherever, if you have family with you it is a home. Family will look out for you. They support you in everything you do. Family play with you and make you laugh. Family are there when you need them the most. If you have family and love you have a home. A home is to keep you protected from nature. It keeps you warm and dry when it is cold and wet outside. A home keeps you safe from animals and mosquitos. A home keeps you safe from thieves. A home is a place where you can relax and not worry too much about things. I always feel safe at home. A home is where memories are made. Homes are filled with pictures and things that make us remember certain times and people. It can be nostalgic. I can remember Christmases and birthday parties, Thanksgiving and Easter dinners with my family. When I look at my Lego sets in my room I can remember who gave them to me and building them with my Mom and Dad. A home can be anything as long as you feel safe, loved and have good memories in it. A home is not just a building. A home is what it holds inside. If you have a family that loves you, memories of good times with those people and you feel safe it doesn't really matter where you live.
