Home is Made of Love and Dreams

Thick grey clouds cover the light blue sky as I watch pint-size snowflakes and the present moment fly by my window. Countless people out there need a home, a home in which to stay. Home can’t only be a shelter, right? The statement “Home is where the heart is.” by Gaius Plinius Secundus, also known as Pliny the Elder, encourages us to reflect on emotions and the attachment to what your place or home means to you. To me it’s a family to shelter me and memories to embrace thoroughly. The difference between a house and a home is interesting and not very commonly known to most of society. It’s that a house is made of brick and boards and a home is made of love and joy. The attachment that you have and feelings when you go into the comfort and warmth of your home is the best gift to have. As I picture my satisfied and snug body under a roof I am reminded that others should have a home too. Kids and adults of all cultures and religions should have and need the comfortability of a home. “Home isn’t a place it’s a feeling” -Cecelia Ahern
