This is my home
Home is where I live my life,
Where laughter echoes through the halls,
There’s sometimes a few bumps and falls.
My dog barks,
My dad parks,
We’re all together.
My mom makes yummy food,
There, I’m always in a good mood.
We sometimes play games,
We laugh, joke and call each other names,
We sometimes fight,
Give each other a fright,
But we’re all happy.
Some things change,
But it feels the same no matter what age.
I don’t have to pretend to be someone that’s not me,
I can be who I want to be.
I am thankful to have somewhere safe to stay,
Where I can be any day.
My family has done many things for me,
They’ve helped form the woman I’m going to be.
We will protect each other as we should,
I would stay with them forever if I could,
We will part eventually,
But this is my sanctuary.
We’ll always be together,
No matter what, forever and ever.
I am never alone,
This is my home.
