What Home Means to Me

Home is where I need to be, home is where I can be free. Where there is food and water and air, there is no other place anywhere. With your family and friends, the fun never ends. Your blanket keeps you warm, your home protects you from the storm. It is where you're always on a screen and when you are outside you just want to scream. There are playgrounds and parks really nearby and chirping birds in the sky. Where all of your stuff is like your clothes and your toys, and board games to play that bring out the joy. When you're in your bed and you rest your head, you fall asleep while counting sheep. Where you can see your pet and where you get fed. Home is a place for memories to be made, cherished and loved, and for yourself to feel great. Home is where you give out love, to parents and siblings, as if you're a dove. Home is where you are always clean, to have a relaxing bath or make a paper chain. Home is where you can use your imagination, to use your supplies and make a big creation. Love your home. Your mind would be blown by all the people who don’t have a home. Home is where you say your first word, or taking a step across the board. Home is where you stay healthy, and the person who supports you keeps the house wealthy. Home has a yard to play in the snow or summer or fall if the weather is high or low. It’s not about where you are. It’s about the people inside your heart. So no matter if there are walls or not nothing will replace the thought of your family.
